Creating a learning goal

Steps:

1. Click Learning Goals on the left side panel of the open the main activity page.

2. Click the New Learning Goal button in the top right corner of the page to add a new learning goal for the activity.

   1. Enter the details of the learning goal.

      • The mandatory fields are Description and Reference Codes.

        • The description is typically a brief description of the learning goal explaining its purpose and what is to be achieved at completion of the activity.

   2. Once you are done adding in the Reference Code, click the Add button to save the reference code to the learning code. Optionally, additional reference codes may be entered.

The learning goal will now be linked to the activity and appear under Learning Goals.

Editing a learning goal

Steps:

1. Click Learning Goals on the left side panel of the activity page.

2. Select the editing icon next to the learning goal you wish to make changes too.
3. Enter any new changes requested.

4. Once you are done your edits, click Save to save the learning goal changes to the activity.

Deleting a learning goal

Steps:

1. Click Learning Goals on the left side panel of the open activity page.

2. Select the delete icon next to the learning goal you wish to be deleted.
3. Click Yes, I am sure in the pop-up dialogue to confirm and permanently delete the learning goal.

4. Alternatively, you may click Cancel to discard this action as it can not be reverted once deleted.

The learning goal will now be deleted and no longer appear under Learning Goals for the activity.

Missing translations

If the OutStem system is visible to staff and required personnel in more than one language, each learning goal will require translation to be visible in the specified language.

This is only relevant if the OutStem system is accessible in more than one language.

Steps:

1. Click Learning Goals on the left side panel of the open activity page.

2. If a missing translation dialogue appears in the bottom right corner of the learning goal, a translation is missing and must be created.

   1. In the top right corner to the right side of the activity name, select thedrop down arrow beside the current language to view all languages enabled in the OutStem system.
   2. Select any language for which a translation of the learning goal has not been created.

   3. Refer to Creating a learning goal to create the same learning goal in all other languages applicable.

Ensure there are no missing translations for any learning. Once translations have been completed for all enabled languages on the OutStem system, the missing translation dialogue should no longer appear.
